2 awesome free 3D scanning apps
The 3D scanning application is a great way to model real-life objects into 3D models on a phone. Very interesting, easy to use and does not require too high phone hardware.
Not only do 3D models of real objects on phones, these applications also allow you to export files such as obj, fbx … to put into professional 3D software on your computer.
So which is the top of the best free 3D scanning applications with phones today:
1. Display.land
Display.land is not the best, but personally, this is the coolest app I’ve ever known.
Turn any object around you into 3D: from buildings, trees, people, food … to 3D> things around you suddenly bring a very new and sometimes weird look. With display.land you will see the world around you again!
And below is an introductory video app. At the end there are instructions on how to add a human object after being 3D scanned into mixamo: The website will allow you to automatically attach bones, create automatic motion such as running, dancing, punching to export to working software. computer 3D images like cinema 4D, blender, maya …
Try 3D scanning your loved ones and creating a funny dance video! 3D hobbyists will love this
2. 3D Qlone:
Free software however you have to pay a little fee if you want to export to Stl, obj format …
At first glance, Qlone looks incredible. Before scanning you must create a Qlone carpet. When scanning you just click the plus sign. move the device around the object or rotate the object until an AR arches appear> so the 3D model has been rendered successfully.
The plus is the integrated AR View, easily exported to Sketchfab and even the AR guide to help you scan.
The big downside is that exporting to all formats is not costly but it makes it difficult and reduces the experience for users.
