It’s called Quick Charge 3 plus and it’s a new charging technology that focuses on performance without incurring excessive costs. Qualcomm has just officially launched it, although the technology is already available on the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom Edition, a smartphone that is also “completely new”.
According to the company, performance improved by 35% with the Quick Charge 3 plus compared to previous generations. In short, Qualcomm guarantees that the phone can be charged from 0 to 50% in just 15 minutes with the new charging technology while maintaining excellent temperature control. The performance level seems very similar to that of Quick Charge 4, with the difference that this new charging technology is cheaper and is also compatible with USB Type-A ports (and backwards compatible with QC 2.0 and 3.0).
About compatibility. As Qualcomm itself pointed out, the Quick Charge 3 is initially available on large processors such as the Snapdragon 765 and 765G, and that’s certainly good news as it’s the intermediate processor. The largest manufacturer of high-end chips.
